Scott Drew Is Clearly Jealous After Seeing Mark Pope's Press Conference, Now Using His Viral Restaurant Booth To Keep Baylor Fans Happy
We're back at this restaurant huh?
Scott Drew had the booth named after him when he decided to stay at Baylor, but now? Now it's clear as day. Scott Drew is jealous of this:
This is what happens when you get handed the keys to the Kingdom. Don't get me wrong, this is a smart move by Scott Drew. Deflect the reminder that he was ready to leave and his family wasn't sure about it so he stayed at Baylor. Just lean into the restaurant booth picture. Lean into playing the hits. Gotta rally the fans and get everyone excited about you staying again.
Again, nothing against Scott Drew the coach. Dude is a hell of a coach who had the best rebuilding job in all of sports. But if he's going to turn down Kentucky and attempt to beat us, he's an enemy now. That's the only way to look at the situation. I don't even know when we'll play Baylor, but we need them on the schedule as soon as possible. It's a new rivalry that even Scott Drew is trying to have fun with.
This is the definition of a win-win though. We got our 1996, the best college basketball team of the modern era, back and Baylor gets to keep Scott Drew. Kentucky fans can scream that Drew wouldn't have handled the job in totality while Baylor keeps their guy. But I have only one takeaway, he's clearly jealous of seeing thousands upon thousands flock to Rupp Arena to see Mark Pope speak. Time to give Pope an entire restaurant now.
